I spend most of my time on the Tablet PC reading PDF files. Some of
them are over 600 pages and must be read quickly. Therefore I have been
trying to find ways to Ink up the PDF as I am reading. While working
with Adobe Professional is easy, the inking is locked into comment
boxes and converting the ink to text, through the TIP. I want arrows, checkmarks,
stars, etc as if I was working on paper. I want to doodle.
PDF Annotator does a great job inking files. However I made a
terrible mistake today. I added ink in Annotator, opened it in
Professional, highlighted the sentence, saved, re-opened the file in
Annotator. You can see the results below.
This is how the same document looks in Adobe Professional, after
inked with PDF Annotator. You can see that the checkmarks are showing
fine. I proceeded to highlight the sentence using the Adobe
Professional feature.

This is how the document looks after re-opening it in PDF Annotator.

So the moral of the story is to be careful switching back and forth,
I look forward to a new, faster version of PDF Annotator. For now, I'd
recommend it for anyone working on inking comments - just be careful
with the highlighter issue.
