The introduction of the Lenovo X41 Tablet PC and the Motion LE1600 are
two examples of Tablet PC hardware receiving positive press reviews.
The speed and features of both make them stand out from the
competition.
Peter Judge from TechWorld states, "With a new generation of hardware emerging, it may be time to take a new look at Tablets."
What do you think? Has the new generation of hardware caught your
attention? Have you considered purchasing one of the newer Tablet PCs?
I am thinking seriously about the Motion LE1600 but really want a
bigger screen. I wrote earlier about this and some people responded to
use a desktop extender, but this does not solve the mobility issue. I
want to be able to move around and not be locked down at a desk. A
slate (or portrait mode) is a wonderful way to read e-Books and PDFs
because the full page can be shown and a simple button click will
change the page. Navigation is easy. However, I want to be able to take
notes while I read (OneNote) and paraphrase ideas within a Microsoft Word
document. And I want to be able to do this while I am on the couch.
This is why a 17-inch Tablet PC looks interesting to me.
Thinking of displays. The Samsung Syncmaster 213T LCD monitor looks
fabulous. The contrast ratio, 1600 resolution, and refresh timing make
it easy on the eyes. Now, that would really be cool to own. Would you
drool for this combination of Tablet PC and monitor?
