Using a Tablet PC

TDavid is right. Another way of saying it is that there is a barrier between Tablet PC users and Non-Tablet PC users.

We need a list of ways to use the Tablet PC. While Microsoft has a page devoted to the topic, it is not complete. We need real stories written by real people. This is why this site exists. But it is not enough. We need a list. These are a few of my favorite things to do on a Tablet PC.

Great Ways to Use a Tablet PC
  1. Scribble notes
  2. Record lectures
  3. Create lectures (PowerPoint)
  4. Keep records (financial and personal)
  5. Keep student grades and progress
  6. Personal Information Manager (Plan Plus and GoBinder)
  7. Send friendly emails
  8. Send friendly Instant Messages
  9. Talk to your friends and family on Skype
  10. Newsreader, Outlook Express
  11. Surf the web
  12. Read eBooks comfortably
  13. Work from the couch or outside on the porch
  14. Get directions (GPS required)
  15. Stay informed (RSS newsreaders)
  16. Design applications and websites
  17. Draw
  18. Watch movies
  19. Do a crossword puzzle
  20. Design lesson plans
  21. Remote administration of Linux box and Windows 2003 server
Your turn. What do you do with your Tablet PC?  How do you communicate, dictate, and ruminate?
