Your First (Next) Tablet PC

The Tablet PC platform improves with each generation: faster processors, better software, improved resolutions, and better handwriting recognition (under Vista). With the increase in variety, which Tablet PC do you expect to purchase? Will you purchase a convertible or a slate? Will you invest in a screen capable of indoor or outdoor clarity? Will you look for a Tablet PC light in weight? Will you look for one based on price? Will you go for the unit with the largest hard drive and the most RAM?

The choices are great. What will it be?

Actually, I'm all about the Ultra-Mobile these days, even though I bought a MacBook for horizon-broadening purposes. I don't want a full-sized machine. My next purchase will probably be a device that falls in between. I'm thinking I will get the Fujitsu P1610 next year, or, if they do a refresh, its successor (as long as they don't use a Stealy or McCaslin chip!). I'm guessing there will be a P1710 one day.
