Predictably, it finally happened. At 205 days of my Motion M1400 ownership the plastic stand that was included finally broke. Open and close that thing enough times and the plastic adjustable clip will break. The plastic spine also fractured. It's still usable, surprisingly but it's gone from flimsy to extreme flimsy without the plastic adjustment piece.
As I mentioned in a past post here about looking for a better, more sturdy stand (still am), it's too bad that a better, more sturdier portable stand doesn't come bundled with the M1400. I was reading yesterday somebody who wanted to carve their own stand out of wood. Not sure how portable that would be, but it's a neat idea.
