    What do I have to do to enable the whiteboard?

    I have Ink enabled in my profile settings and have a newly reinstalled copy of Windows XP Tablet PC edition 2005. However, when I go to the Whiteboard tab in either forum posting page, or the new blog posting control panel, all I see is a little space underneath the "Enable Ink" checkbox.

    I have .NET framework 1.1 and 2.0 installed as well as all other Windows Updates

    Re: What do I have to do to enable the whiteboard?

    Fury...There currently seems to be a problem with the ink whiteboard showing up on systems with .NET 2.0 installed.

    You can get around this problem by forcing IE to use .NET 1.1. Here's how to do it:

    Create a file called iexplore.exe.config in the same folder as the Internet Explorer exe. You can find the exe by looking under Program Files\Internet Explorer.

    Within this file place the following lines:

    <configuration>
    <startup>
    <supportedRuntime version="v1.1.4322"/>
    <startup>
    <configuration>

    Close all instances of IE, and open a new one.

    This should fix your problem for now, until we figure out what's going on.

    I seem to have this same issue. I have the Enable Ink checkbox, but no whiteboard. I just rebuilt my Tablet back to factory, So I am running Net 1.1. I also set both the Internet and Security to medium. Still no dice. (or ink.) Any thoughts?

    Try setting TabletPCBlogs as a Trusted site: In Internet Explorer:
    2. In the Security tab, click on the "Trusted sites" icon
    3. Click on "Sites" button
    4. Enter "http://www.TabletPCBlogs.com in the edit field and click on "Add"

    Hopefully this will help.

    hmm

    [ink]

    It doesn't accept any more ink or ink-related commands once I've picked a color.

    And now I can't edit my posts: "The requested forum does not exist"

    The [ink] was supposed to say "I have lost the ability to change ink color"
